Hotel was average at best. Room was clean but well worn. The restaurant was okay for a cafe' but below average for a full restaurant. Did not use the pool. Internet in my room was great, but other is my party in different rooms reported spotty coverage and drop outs. I paid $* per night for three people which seems over priced and not within guidlines published by the hotel.

We recently stayed at the Sea Wake for Labor Day weekend. When we arrived the air conditioner did not work. I am happy to say the hotel staff were prompt and the problem was taken care of. The hotel (resort????) overall was just adequate. The first night, we ate at the hotel. They make Taco Bell look like 5 star. Plus the price was out of this world and I do not know for what. We sent the food back twice because it was cold. When we complained to the waitress, they offered us drinks. No satisfaction!!!! When we checked out I informed the on duty manager of our displeasure and explained to her what had happened. Again the hotel staff was great. She took our bill for the Taco Bell food and credited the complete amount to our room bill. This staff is some of the best we have ever encountered.

I went into this venture knowing full well that I was not staying in a 4 or 5 star hotel. But this place really stretched the term “Resort”. First let me preface my review by acknowledging that this was a 2-3 star facility. But even for the $* per night it was a total disaster. The staff was courteous and responsive. I also understand that they do not own this hotel and were just doing their job. The hotel’s infamous 6th floor was not air conditioned; the room we were initially given on that floor was dirty and full of mold from a leaking air conditioner that was in such disrepair that the dirty carpet was soaked from water. We were promptly moved to the 3rd floor where it was better but a dirty carpet, malfunctioning toilet and very hot room since the A/C was off all day did not make for a pleasant weekend vacation. At checkout we called and asked for a luggage cart to be sent up for us to load our luggage and leave. We were told we’d have to go to the lobby and get it ourselves. This “Best” Western was the worst.

When we first got there we were booked to a standard room. This was on the 6th floor. No air-conditioner in the elavators or the 6th floor. The standard room was very small with a very small bathroom and hardly any closet space. It was horrible. We had to pay extra to upgrade for a king bed ocean view with balcony. Then it was a worth while room. Very nice size room with a beautiful view. Staff members were very nice especially the evening and night front desk staff but few day people i was not pleased with. On positive note the hotel is on the beach with chairs and towels provided by the hotel. In the lobby there are couple computers with printers for use. I would stay there again but would upgrade to a different room and not the standard room even if it is ocean view. You can ask the staff to look at this room before upgrading they will open one up for you.

The staff are very friendly, Had a great weekend get away. The only problem was carpet was wet from air unit. But called and they took care of it. And we watched the fireworks from our room. No dout we will return and stay again.
