We were very pleased with our accommodations. It is a very lovely place, and one of the reasons we chose it was for the hot breakfast buffet...you had the same every morning but quite good. We were even able to get our room early, as we arrived at noon in Phoneix.

I bit disappointing at first, but the place grew on us. Great location in Mesa, easy access from 101 or 60. Older remodeled motel. Room large and clean but sparsely furnished. Stingy amenities. Refrig and microwave convenient. Not many receptacles throughout room for several electronic devices today's traveler carries. Double beds comfortable, 2 pillows each. Shower great, good water pressure. Large but old TV; channels limited. Needed to request additional remote to get closed captions. Free breakfast very nice -- eggs, potatoes, sausage links, waffles, juice, etc. Pool area nice, comfortable. Large hot tub with lethargic jets. Free and paid snacks available in lobby. Summer internet package deals were available, but the best deal for us seemed to be the regular room rate (no AAA or AARP discount available) with a $* off-per-night coupon printable from the hotel website.

I could not believe what a great place this was for only$53. a night. Breakfast food was fresh and the best offered in our 7 day trip. The staff was prompt and attentive to help us. Beds comfortable and room a good size and clean. Wish we had time to stay longer. Pet Friendly and a large area to walk the dogs.

When we arrived the facility was under construction. The hotel desk clerk sent us away several times telling us our room would not be available until the construction crew and housekeeping were able to put the room back together. Around 4PM I requested to talk with a manager and were told they were not available. I asked for the desk clerk to call one of the other Beat Western's locally and we would move to another facility. She said that was not possible. She never offered to assist in any way. We were later given a room by another employee. The room was nice. Will not book at this facility in the future. I don't want to deal with this one desk clerk who seems to not be interested in helping to resolve any issues.

Great access to local attractions, including Cubs games. Though someone mentioned alot of ball players stayed here, I never saw one. Very accomodating staff and personalized service. Bring your laptop if you want internet access. Only one public computer in lobby. And don't forget to pick up your breakfast "chip" before you head to the buffet in the morning.
