This isnt a 5 star hotel, but for the price the hotel had all the ammendities we needed. Our room was clean and rather large. The bed was very comfy. The coffee in the room was good. The pool was clean and just big enough, the outside landscapes were lovely. I think the breakfast buffett was too expensive for just basic food. The service was very friendly and we got free cookies when we arrived, they were awesome. I would def. stay here again.

From the moment we arrived until we left it was awful. The first room that we checked into had a sleep sofa that was so stained that you would not even let your dog sleep on it! I complained and we were moved to another room. The sinks were severely clogged and drained very slowly. We went out for the evening and when we arrived back the room air conditioner had leaked all over the rug in the bedroom. Maintainence was called and they sucked up the water the next day. The pull out sofa bed was broken and also contained a brick (yes, I did say the word brick!) under it when it was pulled out. This hotel used to be something other than a Hilton hotel and they are refurbishing it, but it is truly a disaster. I will never stay at another Doubletree again. Hilton really needs to see what is really going on when they franchise their name out there. Paris would truly be ashamed of this one!!!!!!

We had some problems that could have been easily corrected but were made worse bymanagement that acted like they really weren't all that concerned. Problems: Reserved a king, upon check in was told no kings available. Entered room, flicked the switch, no lights. Yes, I checked the plug. Table lamp bulb had burned out. Doesn't anyone check these things? Went over to bedside table and I kid you not - one of two bulbs there was burned out as well. Called the desk and waited for replacement bilbs to arrive, apparenly a major operation. Hotel is being refurbished but my problems weren't related to that at all. Noise was bad but only during the day. Old AC fan in my room was quite noisy though and should have been replaced long ago. The last straw was my wife drew water in the tub for a bath and the drain linkage was malfunctioning. Maintenance guy had to come up and replace some parts. I asked the hotel manager to call me and related all the "little things" that added up to "not ready for prime time." His atttiude - primarily indifference and defensiveness. Said my wife didn't know how to work the drain plug. Give me a freaking break. I asked to be comped, he refused, best I could negotiate was 50% off after reiterating all the problems. Doubltree is no Embassy, so stay away, it's not worth the aggravation.

The rooms (2 room suites) were spacious, the beds/linens were more than expected; however the decor is outdated and worn and could use some updating. The Neutrogena toiletries, Bally's fitness passes and those Doubletree cookies were a great touch! The pool area is a little small, but nice. Location is great; near shopping and dining.
