Stayed here for 2 nights while awaiting Monday boarding of Carnival cruise out of Miami. Nice hotel, friendly staff that was very knowledgable about area and could give you correct directions to area attractions. Only one elevator in hotel, though we were on 2nd floor, so we walked up stairs often. Pool outside was ok - looked as if it hadn't had through cleaning. Leaves and sticks present on floor of pool and floating on top. My 8 yr old daughter still swam a little, and it was ok for what it was worth. I did get net and attempt to remove some of debris. Pool towels are available at front desk. Towels in room were nice, pillows and beds comfortable. MUST POINT OUT ----------- Only about 12 TV channels available - none of which were for children - NO disney, nick, cartoon network - nothing of the sort. Coffee maker in room didn't work, informed staff but was never fixed during our visit. Small parking lot, but we never had problem finding parking. Free breakfast with cereal, muffins, yogurt and ONE waffle machine, small area with few tables and chairs, ended up going out to breakfast both mornings because didn't feel like fighting the crowd for free food. Of course, as usual most people got one or two of everything put out, which left little for those waking up late. And with only one waffle machine, it just wasn't worth the time or the fact that it was free. GREEDY guests!!! 2 HUGE malls nearby, tons and tons of shopping. Not very familiar with area, but seemed like safe place to stay and centralized as far as attractions, the port of Miami and shopping/restaurants. Would stay here again - nothing to brag about, but clean and comfortable.

The Hotel was nice, very close to the airport (provided shuttles). Plus close to the turnpike. The bed was comfy, and overall room apperace was good. Breakfast could of been more extensive..but it was free! Staff- very attenative Noise within hotel was limited and I was there for New Year's Eve.

The write-up on the hotel ammenities is a bit deceiving. While there is free wi-fi, it is only available in the lobby. There is NO INTERNET SERVICE AVAILABLE IN THE ROOM AT ALL -- wired or wireless. For a business traveler, this is not the place to go if you want or need to be able to get on the internet quickly. When I asked at the front desk, they were very non-chalant about the lack of internet service in the room. The temperature dropped last night so I turned on the a/c - heating unit. Once the unit got running and blowing out the hot air, the rooms smoke detector kept going off. So I had to turn it off in order to get some sleep. At about 5:30 this morning, the hotel's fire alarm went off and it took them close to 15 minutes to shut it off. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable. There were also good breakfast selections. I won't be staying here next time and don't recommend it for a business traveler.

LIMITED shuttle service - and over 20 minutes from airport! My plane was delayed, so I landed 2:15am and didn't get to the hotel till 5AM!!! EXHAUSTED! had to pay an extra $ cab fare, and no reimbursement for misleading advertising! I booked this hotel for the free shuttle service, but ALAS! it only runs from 6am - 10pm! WHY DON'T THEY SAY THIS IN THEIR AD????Also breakfast only avail from 6am - 9am - again! VERY INCONVENIENT for an EXHAUSTED traveler! jAlso breakfast room very small and super crowded when I stumbled in at 8:30am. They'd run out of bananas - so could offer no fruit topping for my waffle. Room looked great - staff was courteous, but couldn't help me with the cab fare, bed was very comfortable - tho I'd probably have enjoyed a rock by the time I got there. Would have liked to have been able to spend the whole night there.Name also implied it's very close to airport, but NO! it's not! took almost half an hour to get from airport to hotel - this at 5am!

BEWARE OF BED BUGS

The Front staff was very nice during check-in. They werevery informative and helpful. The housekeeping staff left a alot to be desired. Majority of them did not speak english.Luckily I knew spanish but Ishould not have to speak to them in their language when THEY are in the customer service industry. Theroom appeared to be very clean but it was all a facade. There were not enough towels and hand towels. Majority ofthe light fixtures did not work. The carpet was not clean. And to top it all off therewere BED BUGS IN OUR BED. How disgusting is that. You spend all of this money per night on this hotel room to have bed bugs in your bed. I informed the front desk and they said thatthey would take care of it and never did. The hotel was booked so I couldn't move to another room. It was an awful and troubling experience that I would not wish on anyone. so the next time you stay in a hotel make sure you check the beds, sheets, sofas and sofa beds very well because they could all be crawling with bed bugs.!!!!!!!! There were a few other thingswrong as well but after dealong with the bed bugs it just seemedlike everything else was so minute (to an extent). I did let management know but I think itfell on deaf ears. So needless to say when I returned home I sent corporate an email informing them of their property and how my stay was handled and what a coincidence I was offered a survey to fill out about my stay. I think I am in need of a serious refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully corporate is reading this and agreeing with me because I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER OF YOUR HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
