This hotel was OK. Great front desk, nice rooms, resturaunt was a turn off when we ordered are dinner and was charged for chips al a cart and drinks were outrageous. Would not return. The bar prices were also outrageous. We left the hotel for everything and did it else were because the prices were far to high. I choose this resturaunt because it had a bar nice returaunt but it did us no good.

We were so sad that this hotel was so noisy. We picked it because it was near the marina and we wanted to rent a sailboat. Unfortunately, there were weddings at the hotel both Friday and Saturday nights with loud music till all hours. We were supposedly in the quietest of the buildings, and yet could hear music, talking, and laughing, at midnight, even at 4 am. There were also people talking loudly on the hotel property at all hours of the night. One night we tried calling the front desk to ask that they deal with the noise and no one picked up. Upon a later try, finally someone picked up and they could barely hear for all the noise in the lobby. There were also lots of repair problems: hot tub was not hot, telephone handset didn't work, etc. It really was a shame that they couldn't manage the noise level, because otherwise, it was a decent hotel in a good price range.

The Hotel Maya is truly a remarkable little property and getting even better! I was hesitant to book there due to recent reveiws w regard to construction noise etc. and while that probably was true at some point given the remodel from a "Coast Hotel" to the Maya at this time its no longer a concern. The location is excellent, the rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. The pool area has cabanas available for private relaxation that NEED to be shown in their web site pictures! The restraunt has really good food and beautiful veiws of the bay. The reception and restraunt staff are really good at what they do. The maids left dusting cloths in our room twice....whatever. Not all rooms have balconies, I reccomend requesting one with. The city appears to be engaged cuurently in some water side revitalization work around the property but it was not bothersome and will only make the Maya more appealing.

What a great place to stay! The room was spacious with a patio approximately 30 feet from the water and right next to the swimming pool. Loved the heated bathroom tile. Wish there would have been a microwave because we had to order pizza from room service when my son wanted a late-night snack of microwave popcorn! Service was friendly and helpful. Hotel was just a short drive from the nice downtown area and right next to the Queen Mary. Will definitely stay here again.

The room was very small, TV was also small 20" overall it was a clean room the hotel was close to everthing in Long Beach and good shutle service. The room price was over priced for what you get.
