Could not sleep well -- even on SUNDAY night -- because our Room (#306) was on side of hotel that faces I-94 freeway, which evidently has ROARING semi trucks 24/7 x 365... Noise was objectionable even with closed window! Parking near hotel entry is inadequate (numerous spaces occupied with wheeless truck trailer type shipping container "boxes"). Location is somewhat "light industrial" and "lonely" or "out of the way", but convenient to Freeway exit. Hence would describe as OK for Business Travel (relatively low room rate) but "N/A" for Family-Friendly and "No" for Romantic. BE SURE TO REQUEST ROOM ON THE SIDE OF HOTEL THAT DOES NOT FACE THE FREEWAY.

When we checked in the hotel was practically empty while the hotel across the parking lot was packed. I couldn't figure out why until we checked in. There was 1 person on staff in the hotel when we got there, 1. We got up to the room and there were not enough pillows or towels. We called down and the 1 employee brought more up. We went down to the pool to swim and the pool walls were scummy and the water was green. We didn't even try. We went back upstairs and tried looking for a vending machine near our room on the second floor. No vending machine. We had to go back down to the first floor to use a vending machine and there was no place to change a dollar except back at the front desk with the 1 employee. The room was over $* a night and for what? Limited cable, an unusable pool and a limited breakfast buffet the next morning. Now I know why the hotel across the parking lot was full and the Holiday Inn had about 3 rooms filled.
