I will likely not stay in a DoubleTree hotel again due to this experience. Certainly, I will NEVER stay in this hotel again. They provide poor customer service, do not hire responsible employees and then do not take responsibility for the actions of their employees, and do not properly clean or maintain their rooms. We were in Cleveland for my dad

Very difficult to find, since Google posted wrong address. Up & down the street...finally a LOGO but no sign! (Don't plan an easy timely, arrival if the Browns are playing!) Well, friendly staff. Great room: down comforter, feather pillows, thick towels and robe, a couch, big screen, small lake view, water in fridg. Shuttle to pop restaurants. A little sound between rooms. Very reasonable price. We're planning to go again to explore Cleveland. (I don't know how you get to the Lakeside Park)

We stayed at the Doubletree while visiting the rock and roll hall of fame. It was in walking distance to the hall, but also provided a free shuttle to take you anywhere downtown. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our first problem was with the elevators. They have 4, but it seemed like they moved like molasses in January. Many times there was a line of 10+ people waiting for the elevator. The king size bed in our room was very comfortable and the shower was great too. Lots of hot water and pressure. The refrigerator unfortunately made a horrible noise and I ended up unplugging it. The air conditioning unit was quite loud and only seemed to use the high fan setting although I had it set to low. What the restaurant lacked in ambiance, it made up in quality of the food. It was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately the same could not be said for the breakfast buffet. The “eggs” had an odd a consistency.

05/20/2009Modern, clean, urban, downtown hotel. very friendly front desk. nice ambience. great free homemade cookies! very short walk to rock and roll hall of fame. very comfortable bed and pillows.

My job requires me to travel very frequently and stay at many different hotels. I would rate this hotel overall in the top 20% of the places I have stayed. The staff was quick and their service was great. I needed an extra hour before checking out and that was accomidated with no problems. Also, there is a couple different resturants in the hotel. I only ate at one of them, but the food was very good. In short, if and when I travel back to Cleveland I will be staying at the Doubletree.
