Took my sons on their first trip to see the ocean last year... Loved the beach but the hotel was horrible! The microwave didn't work and they accomodated 6 of us in one room with two double beds and a fold out couch.. The couch mattress was AWFUL and they were not able to sleep on it folded out. Which put three of us in one bed. The front desk was not accomodating or very friendly.. Will return to the beach but won't return to this hotel! The price is definitely not worth what the accomodations were! The pool is super small and so is the skating rink. Just not what I expected for the cost of the room!!

I stayed in this resort hotel from August 11th through the 13th at which time our family needed to leave the premises prematurely to tend to an emergency regarding our beloved 11 year old yellow lab retriever - Rudy. Unfortunately, Rudy needed to be put down that evening and needless to say it was a hard time for our family. After explaining the situation and faxing the required documents to the Carousel Resort Hotel, the hotel management and staff never returned my calls or fax and DID NOT reimburse or credit our unused stay (over $$$). Outside of this unfortunate incident, the accommodations were outdated, low quality (our TV was old and sound quality poor -- we reported the problem with no response from the establishment), beds were uncomfortable, balcony only had 3 chairs for a family of 4, cooling system too loud, food quality was poor (there on site Pizza was perhaps the worst I've ever had), fitness center old, pool was small and indoor pool depressing, overall run down and not by any means worth the money. The beach was nice -- but since it's public I would recommend staying somewhere else.

My family loved staying at this hotel! The staff were very helpful and the amount of things to do inside of the hotel itself was wonderful since it rained the whole time we were in Ocean City. There were plenty of things to keep us occupied. I have a young daughter who is 1 1/2 and there were tons of little rides for her to play on and an ice-cream stand. The pool was great too! The ice-skating ring indoors was definatly fun for my fiancee and myself. An overall great experience!

Water running in the ceiling; stained carpets; hard beds; tiny bathroom. I actually had to request a new toilet seat for my bathroom. My children were very, very disappointed as this was their first time in Ocean City. Nice staff, I really felt sorry for them because they received many complaints throughout the day. I will not stay at this hotel again unless it is renovated. The prices were way too high for what you get; the ice skating rink is a nice feature but the arcade room was full of broken games and equipment. Too bad, the idea of a family fun resort gone bad.

Overall I thought it was a pretty nice place. I thought it had a lot of great activities and was close to a lot of family friendly places. I found the rooms to be quite clean. The only problems I had were that the elevators took FOREVER to get to us while we were standing there holding a baby and all of our suitcases, the staff definitely was not as friendly as I'd hoped for (most of them were hard to even understand), you had to park forever away, their gift shop was a complete mess, and they had music at the ice rink playing so loud. Overall for the price I think it's a good deal.
