Hotel itself seems average and fine. The neighborhood did not make me feel safe. The hotel does have a well lit garage and does have many cameras. But, I didn't feel comfortable parking on the street for 1 hour when first checking in and too many men walking solo along the street to feel safe walking to dinner. There are no chain restaurants in the area and although many restaurants offer food from around the world nearby I was concerned they would speak English. I also noticed houses in the area have bars on their 2nd floor windows!!!! Very telling. If hotel noises bother you then ask for a back side (away from Sunset) room. Also ask for third floor if you don't want to look into neighboring apartment building or houses windows, or if you don't want to hear footsteps above you as I could hear them in the lobby while checking in. I've stayed in much prettier, safer feeling, more dining option areas of LA, keep looking you'll find them too. Drive in for the day to visit attractions.

As we went there, the area is nice and not far away from the nightclubs and Sunset Blv. also cool restaurants are nearby. The hotel just need a better Breakfast and it would get a 5 from me.
