The hotel was clean and quiet. That is the only good things about it. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on in a while. All you could feel was the springs in the mattress. In the bathroom the vent did not work. So it was humid in there. The two lamps by the bed did not work so they put two big standing lamps in the room. No overhead light except by the door and the bathroom of course. The tv did not work half of the time. The picture kept going out. The first morning I went down to get orange juice from there continental breakfast. They were out and when I asked if they had anymore they said I don't think so, but did not go check. The second morning I went earlier to get orange juice and they did not have any then either. I did not ask the second time.

04/06/2009Would not recommend. hotel is outdated. staff is nice but hotel is not clean. there are still smoking rooms and the whole hotel smells of smoke.

Overall, the hotel has your basic amenities such as a refridgerator, air&heating unit, coffee, television, phone, clock, and a microwave. Although, the television does not come with a DVD player to watch personal movies on. It does have some cable channels to watch local area news and movies. It's not as bad as you would think. On the downside, there is an ironing board with no iron available which boggles my mind. It is a two story hotel with no elevator which may cause a lot of noise if your room is located near the stairs. The cleaning ladies are awesome and thorogh with their cleaning yet the front desk is mediocre. The front desk service is not rude but they won't go out of their way to help you. The location of the hotel was good because it was away from busy areas but close enough to major interstates to get anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in a reasonable amount of time. The hotel is hard to see unless your on I-820 because it's located behind buildings. These buildings that conceal the hotel are mostly fast food restaurants such as Arby's, Wendy's, and McDonalds. It's seclusion makes it an ideal place for peace and quiet. Definitely a place to go if you are on a budget.

Hotel is modern with all basic ammenites, including a micro,fridge, coffee machine and small pool. Nice shower, beds need improvement. NO ELEVATOR, hotel is 2 stories!!! My only complaint is that there was contantly a "very strong" smoke smell in the hallways, even into the room inside at your door. Stayed in #206 "no smoking" section. #106, floor below also "no smoking" section same smoke odor as on 2nd floor. Where was smoke smell coming from???? Either someone(s) smoking in "no smoking" room, or a very bad ventilation system. Room and bathroom are larger then normal, I suspect before renovation in 2002, hotel used to be some other chain, made into a Days Inn. Window opened 1/2 way, nice to have fesh air flow. Over all would stay here again. Hope this review is helpfull.
