The hotel is in downtown Lewiston. We were able to walk to a steak house for dinner then catch a fast food place for ice cream. Lewiston has a walking trail only a couple blocks away that loops around the river. Must see - and it's free! Descent hotel with an outdoor pool and hot tub for the kids. Very large rooms for our luggage. Has all the typical hotel offerings.

GuestHouse Inn is a good place to stay if you're looking for value and basic accommodations. Rooms are clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Free parking. Bar downstairs and several restaurants nearby. For the outdoors traveler the hotel offers ""complementary rags"" for cleaning purposes! Belgian waffles were great.

Great room - king bed, recliner chair, big TV, huge room and refrigerator and microwave. Perfect for a business person on a budget. Fitness room was marginal. Their were kids in the pool area which looked inviting but I didn't use it. It has covered parking to keep your car out of the sun and more protected. Anthony's Restaurant was wonderful.

When we arrived at our room we discovered that the drunk we rode up the elevator with was in the room next door. Our room ended up being a smoking room, but we needed a King bed so we stuck with it. When we looked out the window there was a ledge, and our neighbor put his chair out on the ledge to smoke, later we found him passed out under our window. This hotel was in a good central location to visit with my family, and the price is right. There are a number of places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well at night. The a/c was on and worked when we checked in.

If your room is on the street side bring ear plugs. The 24 hour bar across the street provides plenty of noise on top of the highway. Some rooms had new mattresses, but two of our rooms were beyond bad. Two of our rooms had a recliner; one didn't. One room sat above the karoke bar and since we were there over the weekend it was open late. The remote for one television set never did work and the desk didn't offer any assistance. One room the toilet ran all night and housekeeping didn't seem to care enough to fix it. So all rooms were not equal.
