  Have stayed here on and off for several years and its always very nice. While its not a full blown Marriott, the quality of the rooms is very good.
  
  As well you get free internet here. Yes, you have to sign up for it every hour (what a PITA) but the price is right.
  
  Within walking distance of the Underground and many very good restaurants and attractions, this is a very good hotel for a descent price.

  We read a lot of good things about this hotel, but that was only after we booked this in Feb 2007. To be honest, we merely booked it on two criteria price and location. But what a gem this place is! We were more than surprised by the very pleasant staff that were very helpfull. The rooms were spotless and well sized. The bed was very comfortable and also the desk and wardrobes are very spacious.
  
  The location of the hotel is almost perfect. In a quiet street just south op Leipziger Strasse and a 3 minute walk to the U Bahn Station Spittelmarkt. From there is only 2 or 3 stops to either the Friedrichstrasse and Gendarmenmarkt or Alexanderplatz the other way. Plenty of nice restauarants in the area but avoid Nikolaiviertel.
  We tried the hotel restaurant on one night. Great Food ( fresh tuna steak) with
  good price value.
