Downtown Fresno, just minutes east of the airport was an excellent choice; because it was an inexpensive hotel with a nice pool area and hardly any customers [you had the pool to yourself]. There was a complimentary breakfast [lattes, juice and roll]. There's a Subway in the hotel too, but we didn't use it. No good restaurants in Fresno though, except fast food and Mexican....plan meals at normal restautants near the national parks. Buy fruit from the farm stands and plan on buying clothes at malls there too; cheap prices and high quality.

We only happened to stay at this hotel because the hotel we were supposed to stay at was overbooked and we had no place to stay at the last minute. Our room was absolutely disgusting, the walls were filthy and I didn't want to take my shoes off because the carpet seemed sticky. It looked as though the bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned for several years, and of course my next discovery was the icing on the cake to a horrible trip, a gigantic booger on the wall-enough said.

The staff was very nice and helpful ,when we needed a larger room they took care of it and we were able to move in the morning. The hotel is quiet and very clean. The pool was cleaned daily. They have coffee,juice and mocha's along with a sweet roll for breakfast. Both the morning staff and evening staff were very friendly. The room could use some repairs and the AC was very loud in the ground floor room. Overall it was worth the money and the staff are a great asset to this place

I was appalled by this hotel. We didn't realize the location was right in the middle of old downtown Fresno which was completely desolate by the time we got there. Having requested a non-smoking room, I was shocked that when we opened the door and got a bit "whoosh" of cigarette smoking stench. I knew I would get used to it and be ok. Most hotels usually supply you with a full roll of toilet paper. We got there and there was about 4 layers left, which they knew about because it still was folded in the nice hotel triangle. Unimpressed. After dinner I wanted to cool a water bottle for the morning since I would be in a conference the whole next day. The fridge was plugged in but there was this nasty muck coming from below. I opened the fridge and got another whiff of foulness. Moldy refrigerator smell, which also did not work. The bed was less than par. I woke up just about every hour to the sound of the trains passing by, which do not pass quietly. They blare their horns constantly. Was not pleasant. Did not have time to wash my hair, but there was an exposed fan and wires in our shower. While in the conference, my hair reeked of cigarette smoke from our bed. It was disgusting. I would NEVER stay here. Half tempted to ask for a refund.

Very clean, quiet place to stay. Bed was comfortable, nice size room for the price. Pool is large, with places to lounge about. Beautiful fountain with tables & places to sit. Subway restaurant on site. Walking distance to convention center. Value was equal to or better than much higher priced hotels we have stayed in Fresno. easy access to the freeway and convention center. No smell of smoke anywhere in the non-smoking room. I am highly allergic to smoke and have encountered problems elsewhere, but not here. Would definitely stay here again. Staff very friendly and helpful.
