We checked in to our non-smoking room and it reaked of smoke so bad I felt like I was in an ashtray. There were cigarette ashes on the table. It was like the room was never cleaned. I went to the front desk to ask for another room. I stood there for 10 minutes and no one showed up at the desk. We decided to just tough it out for the night. The bathroom was filthy. The toilet seat was dirty and there were hairs in the bathtub. The hotel itself was secure but the neighborhood was definately not. I will say the outside pool area was nice and the grounds were nicely kept. Thank goodness we only had to stay there one night, never again!

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel. I have stayed in all but one of the wings of the hotel. I have stayed on the second floor in all my previous stays. The quietst rooms are on the second floor and the smaller wings, the 215 area and the rooms with balcony 245 area. The balcony rooms are above the meeting rooms and work out areas. The balcony rooms have table and chairs, not the cheap plastic but iron. the door is wood and glass with privacy blinds.
The landscaping is constantly maintained. The security consist of 1y different cameras and cover not only all parking but the halls in the wings.
The staff is very healpful and friendly.
Weekends bring the "night before cruise" travelers and they get festive awaiting their cruise. They offer parking fro cruisers and package can include transfer to both Long Beach and Los Angeles for cruise ships.
Fast food selection includes Chicken, Mckdonalds, Burger King, El Polo Loco on the same side of the street. Across the street is Albertson (grocery), L & N Hawaiian Barbeque, Poppa John's Pizza, Quiznos among others.
Almost all of the rooms are NON-Smoking with a $250. cleaning fee for those who smoke in non-smoking room. All rooms are checked either before checking out (cash) or after when paying with credit card. The hotel will not rent out a non-smoking room uintil it has been cleaned of smoke until air is clear of smoke odors.
Would I recommend this hotel, only to my family and friends. Lets keep it a secret. -

This hotel was very noisy. People/kids running in the halls and slamming doors until 1:30 am and kids in the room below jumping on the bed (yes, I could hear that) until the wee hours of the night yet management would not do anything about it. The waffles were a nice touch but no sugar-free syrup for diabetics so we coud not enjoy them. Spend more or drive farther but do not stop here.

Great Motel
11/27/2006Clean and comfortable. best wifi i've ever had. friendly and helpful staff. loved the waffles at breakfast. lots of chain restaurants near by.
