1. Location: Bad neighborhood, gated & next to warehouses, 1 mile from train tracks. 2. Room: Nice but manufactured home park (not trailers but close), picture has grass and garden, but that is only 2 of 20+ ""cottages"". Most are driveway, some small flower beds, and the ?cottage?. 3. Experience: Nice manager but not service oriented. The water stopped for the whole morning (yes, means no shower, sink, toilet...), they said ""sorry, nothing we can do"". I said, ""Discount maybe?"", they said ok & said they'd send it, but it never happened. Most people would have yelled, but that's not how I do things. In closing, nice clean newer buildings, good if you don't care about surroundings and you want a newer ""room"". But watch out for shortcomings. If you see some, don't trust them to see and correct it. Traveled in April 2009, reviewed in May to give time for discount.

I am a travel coordinator and i book many business travelers at Arden acres for extended stays. Its equipt with all the amenities of home so you don't have to feel like you're living out of a hotel. Laundry facilities are on site so you take care of your own laundry and a kitcheb for your meals, making you feel more at home as well as giving you the privacy of one. Its not in the best neighborhood but its monitored by cameras, its safe and your car is parked in front of your cottage. The staff is very friendly and helpful. definately recommend for longer stays and you can't beat the price.

This is a trailer park- not a motel.The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. However, be aware, there is no daily maid service or clean towels. We were there for 5 nights and got no clean towels or maid service. We were not aware this would be the case when we booked our stay.

The staff is very professional and also very friendly. The cottages are beautifully decorated, the landscaping is lovely, the area is not upscale but is very very safe. The laundry facilities are clean and reasonably priced. We have stayed at upscale corporate apartments before but prefer the privacy that the cottages at Arden Acres provide. We will definitely stay here whenever we are in Sacramento.

I stayed at Arden Acres for a week for business and I couldn't have been happier. An obviously well cared for complex, the owner greeted us personally and gave us a tour of the area, letting us pick our own cottage and pointing out the on-site laundry facility, gated parking, and in room amenities. Cooking was easy with a full sized refrigerator, range and microwave and every tool you could need is there. There is even a full sized coffee maker with timer. There are several grocery stores within a few minutes drive, which the owner has helpfully pointed out (with directions!) in her visitor's guide. The cottages are in an excellent location- they are close to the freeway without being so close as to hear the traffic, and it was only 5 minutes to Cal Expo and 8 minutes to the Convention Center downtown. The only downside was the proximity to the train tracks. Because I wasn't used to the noise, it woke me the first night, but after that I didn't hear them again. The neighbors at Arden Acres are friendly but not intrusive, and the cleaning staff is fantastic. Overall, the place is lovely and while not as luxurious as the Hyatt, its charm and amenities made it a better value for me at a quarter of the price. I would definitely stay again.
