I was a little worried about our stay at this hotel because we got such a low rate but I was very impressed. It's close to the beach, it''s clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

My daughter-in-law, her mother and I arrived only to find there was a mistake. The man at the front desk BENT OVER BACKWARDS to make sure we were not going to be put out. He greeted us EVERY morning when we went in for the continental breakfast and asked how our stay was going. EVERYTHING was within walking distance and the view was to die for. The front we went to the beach and in the back we were in the harbor. You can't ask for anything better than that! Thank you to the kind staff for making what could have started out to be a bad trip and turned it into one of the first of many trips back!

Got lost on the way from airport to hotel. Called hotel---no answer. Took over a half an hour to find hotel once we got to Clearwater Beach, because the sign outside said "Salty Spray"--not Day's Inn (that was on the building--not readily visible). When we found the hotel, the parking lot was empty, and the office was closed. Found eight young men drinking by the pool who said they were the only ones staying there (parking lot was empty). Thirty minutes after we arrived, a young man finally showed up at the front office and told us that there were "no more rooms available". I told him I booked it through the internet, and , then, he gave me a key. We went up to the room, and it smelled to high heaven. The TV remote was broken, there was one lamp with a dim light, and the toilet did not work. Not sure what was going on there, but to call this place a "flea trap" is being kind. Had to find other lodging across the street at additional expense.
