  Wonderful location at the Byward Market. The hotel/airfare package was cheaper than just airfare, so I wasn't expecting much. My room was simple, but clean, with a very comfortable firm mattress and nice bedclothes. There certainly are no frills. However, I wrongly assumed that the water pressure and water temperature would both be low as cost-savings measures; as a result, I nearly parboiled myself in the shower. I can't comment on the continental breakfast since I opted for the patisseries and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Byward Market is a thriving tourist site, so it is puzzling that Ottawa doesn't relocate its homeless shelters. This hotel is in a well lit location, so I didn't feel unsafe, but certainly one needs to be careful to not end up in a dicey situation.

  This hotel was great value and it included wireless internet & breakfast. The location is great right downtown with easy walking access to all the sites.
  Parking is available onsite (extra $$s) with unlimited in/out BUT they block park the cars so they sometimes need some time to move them around to get yours out.
  The staff were helpful and the rooms were clean.
  We would return again.

  Stayed here for work. Great convenient location and good value for the money. One of the staff members made this stay unpleasant. Power went out in the room, toilet paper was like butcher paper, TV's are ancient, Bed moves around the room and has a fake headboard. Not enough hangers for your items. Iron which was requested looked as if it was from an estate sale. Continental breakfast could use some work. They clearly want to keep costs to a minimum. They sell you the underground parking and tell you the next day once you leave you cannot come back in, even if you have paid for multiple days. Cars have to be shuffled to get out so plan ahead or be the last one in at night.
  
  All in all this place could be great, but some work needs to be done.
