Our recent stay at the Cambria Suites in Baton Rouge was fairly pleasant. The hotel looked fairly new and clean. The lobby was decorated nicely and the overall appearance was good. The issue we encountered was with the housekeeping staff. We stayed there for three days and two nights and our room was not cleaned one time. The first day we left the hotel early and did not return to our room until 5 pm. The room had not bee made up. Around 5:15 housekeeping knocked on the door and asked it we would like our room made up. We were dressing for dinner and asked if they could return after about 30 minutes. The staff informed us that they were just about finished for the day and it was "Now or Never". I asked for a couple of towells and told them to get to it tomorrow. Well tomorrow arrived and the same exat thing happened again. Two days with no room made up, no towells, no coffee, etc. I had to ask the staff (who was in the hallway) why again, our room was not made up, and pretty much got the same response. They were now just about done for the day, but they would tell the manager of our issue (they didn't). Upon checkout, the front desk clerk asked how our stay was. I told here that we had a great time at LSU and in Baton Rouge, but that their staff never cleaned our room for our entire stay. The clerk said "i'm sorry", and handed me my receipt. That was it, no questions were asked, nothing. It was as if, "well too bad for you...." I'll never stay at a Cambria Suites again.

11/06/2009Very spacious, perfect for families. loved the gym, pool, and the tv's in the room are great. central location makes it easy to get around.

05/03/20095 star hotel for 2 star price...stayed at cambria suites only for 1 night while traveling across the country...the hotel was opened only 6months ago and still looks ...
5 star hotel for 2 star price...Stayed at Cambria suites only for 1 night while traveling across the country...The Hotel was opened only 6months ago and still looks new...The room had 3 plasma tv's and was wonderful...Lobby area had a small bar with good drink prices for a hotel. The lobby was very large with meeting area....There is 24hour store next to the front desk...room had small microwave and refrigerator...bed was very comfortable...There is a chilis restaurant 5 minute walk down street...safe area next to interstate hwy...
