We stayed here on New Year's Eve. The hotel is located across from the airport, but we heard no planes, and off of Hwy 49 and I-10. Casinos, mall, outlet mall, restaurants are reachable in less than 10 miles. The room was very nice and spacious. We had a jacuzzi room, needless to say that we will be back! The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is definitely worth the price. Staff made us fresh pancakes, french toast and eggs. Fresh squeezed OJ and other juices, yogurts, cereal, muffins, bagels, waffle machine and more.

This hotel is located directly across the street from the Gulf Coast Regional Airport. However, we never heard any noise from the airport. The hotel opened only a few weeks prior to our stay so everything was new and clean. The staff were obviously being trained on the job so checking in took longer than average time but one should expect that at a new hotel. Parking was limited since the hotel was full but all in all, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel for those travelling to the Gulfport area. The hotel is also very close to the Interstate 10/Hwy 49 interchange and the outlet mall and numerous dining faclities. It's also located within a couple of blocks of a Super Walmart which is handy for those of us that forget to pack stuff.

Our stay at Catcha Falling Star, on Negril's west end cliffs was the ultimate experience. Our cottage was clean and comfortable, but not too, too luxurious, allowing us to get a feel for the island's natural and rugged beauty, yet spoiling us with breakfast brought to us every morning in the location of our choosing. The view right outside our door was unbelievable, literally, the ocean at our doorstep. The place was not crowded at all and the staff and guests were warm and friendly and interacted easily. The newly opened Ivan's Bar, perched on the cliffs overlooking the ocean, was the prime spot for meals (food is excellent, by the way) and drinks, and hosted many joyous nights of spontaneous sing-alongs enjoyed by guests and staff alike. The story of the resort's comeback after the devastation of Hurricane Ivan in 2004 adds intrigue and charm to an already magical setting. You can spend your days sunning on the various decks cut into the rocks and then cool off with a dip in the cove which, I promise, will be exhilarating!
Plus, there are all sorts of things to do outside of the gates as well. Rick's Cafe is just a hop, skip and a jump away and features live music every evening. A short cab ride or walk up the road puts you in touch with the local folks and real Jamaican culture. The best food you'll ever eat and mind boggling arts and crafts abound everywhere. The hardest part will be knowing how and what to choose. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience Jamaica without being too insulated from real life on the island. Once you Catcha Falling Star, you'll never turn it loose!
