Great! I was surprised. Capitol Plaza Inn looked just like it did in the picture, the room was clean, cool, and meet our needs. Breakfast was just what they said and a staff member was there replenishing and cleaning up. The pool was wonderful but it is located behind the main road so it was noisy, but our room was quiet. We would stay there again.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for people who want an inexpensive, clean, comfortable hotel while visiting Hershey Park. There is nothing glamorous nor exciting about this place, but it's only a 20 minute drive from Hershey Park. The room was very clean; it had an ironing board and iron (not that I used them!), coffee maker (only decaf was there) and a blowdryer in the bathroom. The TV worked well, and there were plenty of lights in the room. The air conditioning worked well, albeit a bit noisy. The beds were a bit soft. The continental breakfast was very nice; mostly pastries, bagels, toast and cereal, but they did have a waffle maker if you wanted to make your own waffles. For free, it was just fine, and it saved us time, too. The pool was small, but it did have several plastic chairs and lounges; the hot tub wasn't working (maintenance), but it was too hot to want to use it anyway. Overall, this isn't the kind of place where you'd spend a vacation, but if you want a clean place in a convenient location (very close by car to restauarants, movie theater and a mall), I highly recommend this hotel. We saved enough by staying here to pay for our Hershey tickets!

Just a simple hotel in a busy part of Pennsylvania. It is located right next to the interstate which is good because its easy to get out and get to places, but bad since it can be noisy. The restaurants around the hotel are not really a walking distance away since the are on the other side of the interstate up on a huge hill. The free continental breakfast served your basic things, but I was hoping for more than just bread products. (No meats, only hard boiled eggs, no potatoes). The overall smell of the hotel has a musty animal/smoke smell. Our non-smoking room had this musty smell, but at least it did not reek of smoke. We just needed a cheap place to stay to go to Hershey Park the next morning, and this served us well. I would not recommend it for a long stay, but as a quick place to stay one night.
